WALLFLOWER

I have exciting news for you today
I somehow found a dandelion in Whitefish Bay
Where it was I found it, I'd never say
In some obscure corner
Safely hid away
In a village where the residents
Kill every dandelion
And don't make the connection that
Their dogs and cats are dying
They've a mysterious aesthetic
Frankly I don't get it
I've a different sense of beautiful
I guess I feel more dutiful
Towards nature as it's meant to be
Not cute nor dull
But bountiful
In its variety.
